The Pythagoras theorem(Pythagorean theorem) states that "the square of the length of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of squares of the lengths of other two sides of the right-angled triangle". It is expressed as c 2 = a2 + b2, where; c = hypotenuse a = adjacent b = opposite Pythagoras' theorem only works for right-angled triangles. It states that given a right triangle, the hypotenuse squared equals the sum of the sides squared .
