Why the EstheraSTEM Community?
The EstheraSTEM Community was born out of a simple but bold vision; to connect, inspire and support students and young learners across diverse backgrounds by sharing enriching STEM resources and opportunities. This community continues to evolve and reach more young people through digital platforms, WhatsApp engagement and now, in-person outreach.
What We Do
• Digital Resources & Support

• Opportunity Update Desk
We maintain a dedicated WhatsApp sub-group where members receive periodic updates on verified STEM related opportunities — from competitions to fellowships, conferences, events, bootcamps and more.
• School Outreach & Awareness
We officially began school visits, November 2024 to engage with students directly, introduce them to STEM subjects, the SDGs and how they can be part of the next generation of changemakers.
• Peer & Volunteer Engagement.
How We Started
The community fully began with a few students during our November - December 2024 outreach. EstheraSTEM’s founder visited about 4 schools in Lagos, sharing her STEM journey and introducing students to opportunities they could explore beyond the classroom. With over 250 students reached, 15 new members joined the WhatsApp community, forming the early roots of what we continue to build today.
